
Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Akinlade O. Esther has charged newly promoted and decorated officers of the Corps to uphold the tenets of the profession.
Commandant Akinlade gave the charge at the decoration of 2024 promoted officers in Lokoja.
According to her, beyond the mere transition in professional status, the gathering embodies a well- deserved acknowledgement of the Corps’s rich legacy of professional excellence, where 206 officers of the Command were promoted as follows;
15 DCC
13 ACC
24 CSC
25 Superintendent
42 DSC
43 ASC1 and others.
The Commandant urged them to also redouble thier efforts in crime and criminality fighting to justify the huge investment of the Federal Government and the CG led Corps in terms of training and restraining.

She expressed appreciation to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Tunji Olubunmi, and the Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi whose strategic efforts have revitalized and transformed the Corps into a beacon of success.

The Commandant alsomaintained that the Corps with other security agencies would ensure that criminals have no hiding place in the state.
In a remark, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Chike Nwanbua congratulated the newly promoted officers of the NSCDC saying they should discharge their duties diligently as their promotion comes with new responsibilities.
He said the Nigerian police was regiging operations more than ever before to ensure Nigerians go to bed with their eyes closed.
Speaking in an interview, one of the promoted officers, Assistant Superintendent of the Corps, Ajinomo Anda Isaac who was full of praises to God appreciated the Commandant General of the NSCDC for the promotion and promised to put in his best to continue to meet the mandate of the corps.
