Communities across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State have been urged to come out en-mass for the COVID-19 Vaccination.
His Riyal Highness, Ejeh of Dekina and member Northern Traditional Leaders Committee representing the State on COVID-19 Vaccine Sensitization, Alhaji Usman Obaje made the in his palace when he received a Social Media Influencer Yemi Balogun working on the Equitable Recovery Project in collaboration with the Center for Information Technology and Development, CITAD with support from MacArthur Foundation.
Alhaji Usman debunked the rumour making round that the COVID-19 vaccine kills as it’s safe and not harmful having taken himself without any side effect.
“As a member of the Northern Traditional Leaders Committee and a nominee of the Kogi State Government on COVID-19 Vaccine Sensitization, I want to tell the people of the State categorically that the Vaccine dies not kill. It’s safe, not harmful. When you get vaccinated, you protect yourself and family members from the virus. Remember that prevention is better than cure”
According to him, taking the vaccine to nook and cranny of the State is a task that must be accomplished by all and sundry.
He commended all State Actors working towards giving right information and education about the vaccine to change thier negative perception towards COVID-19 vaccine.
In a remark, the Social Media Influencer Yemi Balogun thanked the royal for his efforts and continuos support towards the State wide sensitization of people on the need and safety of the COVID-19 Vaccination.
