Traditional Institution has been described as a veritable tool for ensuring peace and security in the Country.

The Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State, Professor Marietu Tenuche stated this in Okene at an event to mark the twenty fifth anniversary of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim on the throne.

Professor Tenuche said traditional rulers are the custodian of the people’s culture closest to the people at the grassroots hence the need to get them fully involved in the society to ensure peace and security of the citizenry.

She described the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim as a peace loving traditional ruler, a pace setter and a foremost traditional ruler in the country whose impact and wealth of experience is second to none.

The V,C who prayed for long life for the traditional ruler and continued peace in his domain.

On the ongoing transformation and infrastructural development in the University, Professor Marietu Tenuche attributed it to God and the unflinching support of Governor Yahaya Bello, the management team and students as well who remained undaunted in thier commitment to make the institution great among comite of higher institutions in Nigeria.
