Religious bodies in Kogi State have been urged to sustain the peaceful coexistence among them for a healthy relationship and the development of the State

The Maigari of Lokoja Alhaji Muhammadu Maikafi the third made the call while receiving the Executive members of Lokoja Christian Association of Nigerian Chapter led by the State Chairman, Bishop John Ibenu.

Alhaji Muhammadu said the need for unity cannot be over emphasized in view of the present security challenges in the country.

The Maigari commended the Lokoja chapter of CAN under the leadership of Pastor Babatunde John Oluwole and the State Chairman, Bishop John Ibenu for the sustained relationship with other faith as well as their prayers for leaders in position of authority and the land.

Earlier, Bishop John Ibenu represented by Bishop Ted Bako who led other executive of Lokoja LGA CAN said the visit was to pray for the traditional ruler in view of the Universal Week of Prayer embarked upon by the Association.

He assured of the continued prayers of the Association for the land as well thier support to the traditional council towards achieving set goals.

The visit was part of activities to round off the Universal Week of Prayer embarked upon by Lokoja Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria led by it’s Cordinator, Pastor Babatunde John Oluwole.
