Saint Andrew Catholic Church Ogori celebrate 100years of God’s faithfulness.

The Church has been described as a house of prayer and worship irrespective of social class or background.

Catholic Bishop of Lokoja Diocese, Martin Olorunmolu stated this at the centenary of Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Ogori.

Bishop Martin thanked God for the founding fathers that God used and still using to build and expand the Church of God in the land.

He said celebrating a hundred years of the Catholic faith in Ogori land which ought to be celebrated last year but was postponed due to the pandemic is no small feat, calling on parishioners to give thanks to God.

According to him, the celebration would not be complete without acknowledging the efforts and sacrifices of Priests from the land with special reference to late Bishop Sunday Ajomo and Very Reverend Father Anthony Akande.

He admonished members to always give thanks to God, saying the transformation of the Church is a testament of God’s love for the parish and the land.

The Bishop noted that the Church is beyond the physical structure, rather members constitutes the Church, hence the need for them to be upright in their Christian faith.

He prayed God to continue to expand the Catholic faith in Ogori land both physically and spiritually for the benefit of all.

The Parish Priest, Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Ogori, Reverend Father Philip Otori expressed gratitude to God, parishioners and well wishers for their contribution and sacrifices in making the program a reality.

He called on members to sustain their prayers in making sure the project comes to fruition in no distant time.
