The Olu of Ayegunle Gbedde, Oba Oloruntimehin Ayeni has expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for upgrading the stool to a third class status.
Oba Ayeni stated this in a statement in Lokoja.
He said the recognition of the stool of Olu of Ayegunle Gbedde is the beginning of more things to come to the Community as that has given the people a sense of recognition and belonging.
The Olu of Ayegunle who assured of the continued commitment if the people of Ayegunle Gbedde to the present administration however appealed for more infrastructural development in the Community in the area of potable water, electricity and roads.
Also in a statement, the Ayegunle Gbedde Development Association, AGDU has equally expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for giving the community recognition by giving due recognition to the stool of Olu of Ayegunle as a third class status.
The AGDU in a statement signed by the President Ahmed-Ade Fatai also thanked the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bar. Salami Ozigi for his unrelenting efforts in the exercise.
The AGDU however called for review of the exercise to give a more befitting status to the stool of Olu of Ayegunle Gbedde.
