Death has occurred of an Octogenarian, a one time Leader of Ijumu Legislative Council, Hon. Chief Julius Adeleye Olowoniyi of Otun Quarters in Iyara-Ijimu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Aged 88years, Hon Chief Olowoniyi died in an illness.

A statement by the children of the deceased signed by Benjamin Olugbenga Olowoniyi said the burial of the deceased will take place on the 20th and 21st of this month.

According to the statement, there will be wake and service of songs for the deceased on Thursday, the 20th at his residence, Otun Quarters in Iyara-Ijimu by 5pm while funeral and thanksgiving service holds at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul’s Anglican Communion @ 10am.

The deceased is survived by his Wife, Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
