Government at all levels have been charged to give prominence to the accent of President Muhammadu Buhari’s on the National Teaching Policy law to enhance productivity.

The National President, Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS, Comrade Samuel Omaji gave the charge while speaking on the development in Abuja.

Comrade Omaji said the call became imperative in view of role of Teachers to nation building as well as the need to encourage and sustain professionalism in the profession.

He expressed appreciation to President Buhari for taking the bold steps of re-writing history in the teaching profession and the National Assembly for passing the Bill into law.

According to him the act of President Buhari has demonstrated his Teachers friendly nature and the ongoing reform in the teaching profession.

The ASUSS President appealed to Governors of the thirty -six and all relevant stockholders in the sector to immediately implement the law as accented to by the President to enable teachers nationwide give thier best in making Nigeria great among comity of nations.

He urged Teachers in the country to be ready to give thier best towards reciprocating the President’s gesture.
