The member representing Yagba West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Elder Leke Abejide has flag-off the construction of Alu, Igbo-Ero road.

At the ceremony, Elder Abejide said the gesture is to open up the area to other parts of Kogi State and give the people a sense of belonging as part of it’s desire to bring the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

He said other major roads in Yagba land has also been earmarked for construction and reconstruction as the case may be and assured the people that all projects embarked upon would be completed in record time without delay.

According to him, funds for the projects are available to avoid delay and would be adequately supervised to make sure contractors delivered according to specifications and standard.

He said the road when completed would ease movement of farm products by farmers as well as link up to neighboring communities in the area.

The Lawmaker reiterated his desire to make life more meaningful and comfortable for the people of his Constituency through quality representation at the National Assembly by bringing more people oriented projects to Yagba land and by extension to Kogi State.

In a remark, the Alalu of Alu, His Royal Highness Oba Oladele Togun expressed appreciation to God and Elder Leke Abejide for remembering the people of the Constituency and for fulfilling his promise describing him as a worthy representative of the land.

Also in a remark, the Adetula of Ilai, Oba Samuel Ibilaiye expressed his joy for being part of history of such development in his domain and prayed God to continue to keep him promising of the unflinching support of the people to him in his political career.

According to him, Elder Abejide is an epitome of what quality representation is all about by bringing infrastructural development to the rural areas where the people resides.

Special prayers were offered for speedy completion of the road, the people of Alu-Igboero by religious leaders as well for the Lawmaker for God’s guidance and protection in the years ahead.
