Kogi State Police Command Recovers Stolen Toyota Coaster, Arrest Suspect.

Kogi State Commissioner Of Police, CP, Miller G. Dantawaye has assured the people of the State that the Command is ever determined in synergy with other Security Agencies to ensure adequate Security of Lives and Property.

CP Dantawaye stated this in a statement signed by the Command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP William Ovye Aya in Lokoja at a parade of a suspect, one Nnamdi Osita a 39 years old with one Toyota Coaster Bus with Registration Number GWA 488 ZD cream colour, arrested by operatives attached to ‘B’ Division in synergy with other Security Agencies.

According to the statement, the arrest was consequent upon an intelligence report received on 23rd January, 2025, that a Toyota Coaster Bus suspected to have been stolen from Nyanya, FCT, Abuja for over one year was sighted moving along the Abuja-Lokoja highway, which led to the arrest of the suspect in conjunction with other security agencies in a covert operation.

While calling on the members of the public for their support and cooperation to the Police and other Security Agencies by volunteering timely and credible information on the activities of criminal elements operating in the State, the restated the commitment of CP Dantawaye in sustaining the onslaught against criminal elements in compliance with the Inspector General of Police to all Commands nationwide.

    I think that the new Police Commissioner has started well and I pray that his determination will be sustained in order to root out criminals in our dear State so that the pragmatic efforts of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State will be made manifest.
