Workers both public and private sectors have been described as the live wire of any value driven economy.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja stated this in his message to workers on the commemoration of this year’s workers day in Lokoja.

Chief Onoja said workers contribution to the growth of the economy of the State and the nation at large cannot be overemphasized.

According to him, Governor Yahaya Bello civil service reforms has improved work processes, ensure quality service delivery to the people of the State.

The Deputy Governor urged the organized labour in the State to continue to tow the path of cooperation with the Government towards achieving set goals as thier support to the successes of Governor Yahaya Bello is second to none.

He commended them for thier resilience, discipline, patience and tireless contributions to the socio-economic development of Kogi State and the Nation in the face of the prevailing challenges assuring the workers of Government desires to give high priority to thier welfare at all times.
