Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara has charged personnel of the Corps to be civil in handling issues.
Commandant Mafara gave the charge at a workshop organized for Arms Bearers attached to Very Important Dignitaries, VIPs, in Lokoja.
He said civil approach to matters rather than the use of force is cardinal to thier training to achieve maximum results.
The State NSCDC Boss also warned the rank and file against the use of cell phones while on security guard or watch, driving against traffic and all unprofessional conducts as those found wanting would be punished accordingly.
He reiterated the commitment of the Command to maintain professionalism while performing thier constitutional duties as well as a good relationship with the civilian populace in Kogi State.
While declaring the workshop opened, Commandant Mafara urged the participants to make good use of the knowledge gain to enhance the performance of thier duty.
