The Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State in the National Population Commission, NPC, Abuja, Hon, Engr Yori Afolabi has felicitated with the victorious Council Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim, aka DSTV, and all Councillors elected in the Council Election yesterday Saturday, 19th October, 2024.

Hon Yori Afolabi in a statement described the victory as victory for development, growth and advancement of Democracy as provided by the present administration of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo led administration.

According to him, the peaceful outcome of the exercise and turnout signifies acceptance by all and urged the people to rally round the winners to move Ijumu Local Government Area to the next level of growth and development.

While congratulating all winners, he equally charged them to be magnanimous in victory as well as work selflessly to make the needed impact in the lives of the people of the area.

The Federal Commissioner commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo and KOSIEC for providing the needed environment for democracy to continue to thrive inline with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration of inclusiveness and overall growth and development of the nation.
