
Kogi State Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Christmas.
A statement by State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Emejeh Ogwu Sunday in Lokoja called on Christians to use the privilege of the season to reflect on God’s love which was demonstrated by the gift of a Saviour to mankind. He called on believers in Christ and indeed everyone to show love and care for one another at all times.
According to him, the celebration should also go along with fervent prayers for leaders in positions of authority especially Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo and his cabinet whose leadership acumen and humane disposition have turned things around in Kogi State.
He expressed appreciation to the workers friendly Governor for providing the needed support for a joyful celebration, but called for moderation on the part of Christians as they celebrate.
The ASUSS Boss expressed appreciation to the state government for all that is being done for the education sector especially secondary education as well as Teachers, hoping for more collaboration for greater achievements in the new year.
Comrade Emejeh pledged the support and loyalty of members of ASUSS to the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, and finally prayed for the protection of God upon the Governor and his family.
