
The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Olushola Kolawole has debunked online media reports that the once unity among the members is under threat.
Prince Kolawole stated this while answering questions during a media parley organized for National Assembly aspirants by the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Lokoja.
According to him, the purportec online report was a figment of imaginations of the writers as the Assembly has been on Sallah recess as well as break to allow members vying for elective positions to concentrate on thier plans to achieve success.
Prince Matthew Kolawole said all the principal officers and members relate as one big family working to give enabling laws towards accelerated development of the State and that the Assembly has never been under lock for whatsoever reasons.
The Speaker who is an aspirant under the ruling All Progressives Party, APC, to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency promised to attract Federal presence to the Area via extensive lobbying if elected.
He outlined some of his achievements in the Assembly to include: youth and women empowerment, scholarship for students from Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, Sports development and contributions to the Security of the Area.
The Speaker who said he was irrevocably committed to his Principal, Governor Yahaya Bello attributed the ongoing Kabba township road project and other development in his Constituency to the cordial relationship existing amongst both and other lawmakers.
