
Honourable Justice Alaba Omolaiye-Ajileye. Rtd, has been appointed as member of
the “Committe For The Review, Update, Consolidation, Compilation And Publication Of The LAWS of the Federation
The appointment was conveyed in a letter form the Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Honourable Lateef Fagbemi, signed by Bpl Mrs B.E Jedy-Agba, OON, mni. Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary.
According to the letter, Justice Honourable Alaba Omolaiye-Ajileye was appointed as a member of the committee in view of his extensive legal background and contributions to law development manager n the Country and beyond the shores of Nigeria.
According to the letter, the Committee is set up to review, update and consolidate all Laws passed by the National Assembly since 1990, particularly those omitted in the 2004 Laws of the Federation.
The Committee is to also identify obsolete or repealed laws, to enable the Ministry initiate necessary process for their removal from the LFN.
The Committee is expected to be inaugurated on, Thursday, 24th October in Abuja.
