Kogi Commissioner For Health Saka Haruna has been sacked by the State Government for alleged diversion of funds meant for Ajaokuta Government Hospital.

Governor Yahaya Bello is said to have given the directive to that effect.

But an anonymous and realiable source in government said Saka was not sacked but suspended pending thorough investigation into the allegation by a panel to be set up by the Governor.

It was realiably gathered that the former hospital in the area was demolished to pave way for the new one which is under construction.

Also gathered was the fact that the suspension and not sacked by the source has nothing to do with the ongoing hospital project but rather political intrigues among players on the field.
