Gov. Ododo….. Your One Year In Office Impactful, Result Oriented & Workers Friendly- Kogi NLC

Kogi Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has described the one year in office of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo as impactful, result oriented and workers friendly in view of his achievements so far.

State Chairman of the Council, Comrade Gabriel Amari stated this in his felicitation message to Governor Ododo as he marked an historic one year in office at the Lugard House in Lokoja.

Comrade Amari said the Governor in the last one years has right the wrong and injustice metted on workers and given a new lease of life and hope also the pensioners thereby changing the narratives for the better.

According to him, the payment of new national minimum wage, tax free on workers salary for a year, stoppage of the Tax Clearance Certificate, TCC, introduced by the KGIRS, road infrastructures across the three senatorial district, giving Lokoja the State capital a new face of development among others testify to Governor Ododo’s can do spirit of deserving Servant Leader who prioritise the people above himself.

Other achievements he stressed include;
Payment of 100% salaries to Local Government Area workers and primary schools teachers, payment of 100% hazards allowance to state health workers, harmonization of pension for both state and Local government pensioners, and free health care for vulnerable pensioners under the state health care insurance scheme
(KGSHIA).

The NLC Boss reiterated the unwavering commitment and synergy of the Organised Labour in the State to the present administration towards achieving set goals.

He also appealed to the Governor to passionately look into outstanding promotion arrears, the issue of leave bonus and other emonulments of workers for a more virile work force.

Comrade Amari also felicitated with the Governor’s team comprising the, Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, SGS, Commissioners, Special Advisers especially Comrade Onuh Edoka, SA on Labour Matters, SSAs, and the Lawmakers for a robust collaboration with the Executive in making the State great again.
