Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has charged Security Agencies to flush out criminal elements out of the State and it’s environs.

Governor Bello gave the charge while flagging off ” Exercise Enduring Peace II” at Owunoh community along Ajaokuta-Okene, of the State.

He said criminals and criminal elements should be treated without due consideration for gender, religious and party affiliation in the quest for a peaceful and secured State.

The Governor promised his administration unflinching support to the Commander, Army Maigumeri Barracks Lokoja, Major-General Sunday Igbinomwanhia and all personnel involved in the exercise in thier bid to succeed.

He expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari forget his continued assistance and support for the Nigerian Armed Forces towards achieving a lasting peace for the country as well as Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Farouk Yahaya and Heads of other Security Agencies.

Representative of the Chief of Army Staff and Commander, Army Records Lokoja, Major-General Sunday Igbinomwanhia said the exercise was to consolidate on the successes achieved so far in Kogi State.

While calling on the people to continue to partner with security agencies to succeed in it’s assignment, the Army Chief applauded Governor Bello for his unconditional stand against complete onslaught on the enemies of the State and their sponsor.

Exercise Enduring Peace II is a Joint Task Force comprises of the Army, Naval, Police, Civil Defence, Immigration, Customs and Vigilante personnel.
