In a bid to bring relief to motorists plying Iluagba/Isanlu road in the Western Senatorial district of Kogi State, the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Elder Leke Abejide says he will embark on the reconstruction of the fifteen kilometers Federal road from Iluagba in Ijumu Local Government to Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area.
Elder Abejide disclosed this while unveiling his plan to bring succour to the agony of the people and motorists in Ijumu/Yagba areas.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on the development, the Lawmaker said the decision was borne out of his concern for the untold hardship the people and motorists plying the Federal road have been subjected to without solution for years.
According to him, equipments are being move to site already as contractors have also been substancially mobilized to commence work immediately.
The Lawmaker who is also Chairman, House Committee on Customs and Excise disclosed that all rural roads in Yagba Federal Constituency would also be given due attention in the coming year.
He assured of his commitment to continue to impact on the lives of the people of his immediate Constituency and those of the Western Senatorial district of Kogi State.
Some of the people who spoke on the development described the Lawmaker as God sent and charged other Lawmakers in the area to support the initiative.
It would be recalled that the Kabba/Aiyetoro/Egbe/Isanlu road which is a Federal road has been a recurring project in the budget without the necessary attention as the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola attributed the development to paucity of funds.
