Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has admonished the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirits of godliness, charity, sacrifice, and spiritual intercession for the nation at all times.

Chief Onoja made the call in his Sallah message issued in by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, in Lokoja.

He said Eid-el-Kabir honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to show submission to Allah’s command, urging Muslims to extend the noble virtues of piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect, and love for one another.

Chief Onoja assured of Governor Yahaya Bello’s determination to make the State a model for good governance, saying the State has witnessed revolutionary changes in its critical sectors with legacy projects across the State landscape in the last six years.

The Deputy Governor called for increased prayers for an end to the recurring security challenges in the country, tasking Muslims and adherents of other faiths to always demonstrate love and understanding towards one another in the quest for a greater and more prosperous Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
