
Christians have been urged to keep hope alive and not be daunted by the challenges of last year.
Superior Apostle Adebayo Olaniyan made the call at the second day of the 2022 Universal Week of Prayer organized by the Lokoja chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria at the First Baptist Church, Lokoja.
Superior Apostle Olaniyan who said the call became imperative in view of the challenges that plagued the economy last year leading to job losses, closure of businesses and the likes, assured of God’s intervention this year to take away every form of shame.
He described the theme of the prayer week; “No More Shame” as prophetic, restating the need for Christians to renew their faith in Christ who will definitely wipe away every form of shame and reproach from thier lives.
Citing several scriptural references; Jeremiah 32v28, Isaiah 54v1-12 of God’s ability to deliver out of shame, the Clergyman appealed to the people to make God obedience of his words their priority.
Highlights of the programme was prayers for the nation, State and individuals for a glorious and successful 2022 led by Reverend Ayuba Dauda
