CUSTECH Matriculates 245 Pioneer Students. Don’t Derail from the Vision, Gov Bello charged Mgt.

Management and staff of Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara have been charged to give their best in ensuring that students acquire knowledge and skills that position them technologically ahead in future.

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello gave the charge at the maiden matriculation of the institution at the campus.

The Governor said the university resulted from the need to end travails of citizens in search of sciences, technology and medical programmes across institutions in Nigeria and that government needed to support it in meeting the university’s vision.

Governor Bello advised the 245 pioneer students of Confluence University
of Science and Technology to approach their studies with all the seriousness required to excel in their academics and become highly competitive professionals adding value to humanity.

Vice Chancellor, CUSTECH, Osara, Professor Salawu Sadiku pointed out that the establishment of the University was a milestone that would widen the spectrum of opportunities for youths to meet future challenges and achieve self actualization.

He restated the institution’s zero tolerance for cultism, examination misconduct and indecent dressing noting that management was resolute in ensuring good character and high moral standards.

Professor Sadiku disclosed that the University would soon commence new programmes in Engineering aimed at taking full advantage of the technical environment of the school.

Some students who spoke at the event appreciated the present administration for establishing the university promising to maximize the opportunity offered by the university.
