As Christians the world over celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, they have been advised to reflect on the essence of his birth.

The Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Malik gave the advice in his good will message to Christians.

Alhaji Andas said it behoves on adherent of the Christian faith to acknowledge and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, given the love God demonstrated for mankind through His birth.

He also emphasized the need for Christians to engage in activities that could promote healthy neigbourliness, noting that such could engender peace and development.

He urged Christians to continue to imbibe the fear of God in their daily endeavors to attract God’s manifold blessings.

The Chairman called for sustained prayers for the Nation and the Leaders in their efforts to address the economic hardship being faced in the Country.

He solicited the cooperation of all kogites both at home and in diaspora to support the government of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and prayed for its success .

The Chairman on behalf of himself, Members and Management Staff of the Commission congratulated all Christians in the State for witnessing another festive year of Christmas and wish them a prosperous new year.
