The British Embassy in Nigeria is to partner and improve crime fighting strategies in Kogi State.

The Embassy led by Mr. Andrew Marshall stated this when he led a delegation on a visit to the State Commissioner of Police, CP. Miller Dantawaye in Lokoja.

Mr. Marshall said the visit is aimed to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration between the Embassy and the Kogi State Police Command in tackling security challenges, especially operational approach, in intelligence-led operations and counter-kidnapping strategies.

Mr Andrew Marshall emphasized the need for synergy in combating security threats, including intelligence gathering to track criminal activities effectively.

Earlier , CP Dantawaye assured the delegation of the Command’s commitment to strengthening security measures.

He acknowledged the importance of international cooperation and pledged to intensify efforts, including robust stop-and-search operations and strategic intelligence sharing.

He highlighted the significance of collaboration with foreign partners, given their advanced security capabilities and resources.

The CP further stated that any British team visiting Kogi State should notify his office to ensure adequate security coverage during their visit.

He urged the British Embassy to share intelligence on criminal activities, in field operations, to facilitate swift and effective responses by the Law Enforcement Agents.

The CP said the visit marks a step towards reinforcing Security Partnerships and improving crime-fighting strategies in Kogi State.
