Women in Kogi State have been charged to continue in thier support for the new direction government of Governor Yahaya Bello in order to consolidate on its gender friendly policies.

The State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja made the call in Lokoja on the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day.

Chief Onoja said women’s contributions to governance is indispensable hence the attention given to them by Governor Yahaya Bello led administration is second to none.

He commended women in the State for thier unflinching support and contributions to the political, economic and socio cultural development of Kogi State.

According to him, the thirty five percent affirmative action for women inclusion in government is fully implemented in the State with them in key appointed and elective positions.

While felicitating with them on the occasion of this year’s celebration urged to continue in their resilience to better thier lots and participate actively in the forth coming political activities in the country.
