Be Resilient in the Face of Discrimination Against the Womenfolk – Jagboro charges Women on International Day

Women have been described as the engine room of any successful society.

The Provost College of Education Technical Kabba, COETK, Mrs Victoria Olushola Jagboro stated this on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s International Women Day.

Mrs Jagboro said women all over the world have contributed to the success of governance and played positive roles in the upkeep of the family.

She commended their resilience in the face of challenges confronting them in all areas of life, urging them to keep faith and hope alive.

The Provost expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for giving women in the State
a voice through appointments into various political and elected offices as well as giving them the necessary support.

On the theme of this year’s International Women Day Celebration: “Gender Equality Today for A Sustainable Tomorrow” Mrs Victoria Olushola Jagboro also charged women to be resolute and stand against every form of discrimination against the womenfolk.

She felicitated with the wife of the Executive Governor, Mrs Rashida Bello, wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Onoja, Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade, State Head of Civil Service, Mrs Hannah Odiyo, Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajia Fatima Buba and all female appointees in the State wishing them a happy and fruitful celebration
