The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says importance is placed on discipline and welfare of its personnel.

Commandant-General of the Corps, Doctor Ahmed Abubakar Audi stated this in a message to the passing out parade of Course Six Arms handling training exercise of the Kogi State Command in Lokoja

Doctor Audi said the training of personnel was a continuous exercise to ensure effectiveness and professionalism on the job.

Represented by the Director, Legal Services of the Command headquarters, Abuja, Alhaji Umar Mohammed, the CD charged the graduands to abide by the operations of the training received for optimum performance.

In his address, Kogi State Commandant of the Corps, Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara said about One hundred Officers have been trained in arms handling as part of measures to strengthen the Command’s response to issues.

Commandant Mafara cautioned the rank and file against all forms of unprofessional conduct in the perform of thier constitutional duties.

He expressed appreciation to sister Agencies in the state for their continued support to achieve set goals.

In a remark, the review Officer and Commander Nigerian Navy, Kogi State Command, Commodore Kehinde Odubanjo called on the graduands to make effective use of the training received to achieve set goals .

In a message to the occasion, the Commander Army Records, Chari Maigumeri Barracks, Lokoja Major General O. W Ali represented by Brigadier General S O Nwafor who urged the graduands to remain courageous, said the military, in synergy with security operatives and paramilitary agencies in the State, remain committed to defending the territorial integrity of the nation.

Also in a message to the passing out parade, Governor Yahaya Bello assured of the commitment of the State Government to partnering with security agencies to rid Kogi State of all forms of crimes and criminality.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Yakubu Suleiman Aliu, Governor Bello said that the State Government would continue to support security agencies to perform their duties.

Highlights of the occasion was the review order of the graduands, stripling and assembling of rifles as well as commendation of the best performed officers in the classroom and the field.
