
The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Senator Smart Adeyemi has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the use of BVAS in the presidential and National Assembly elections.
Senator Adeyemi who commended the electoral umpire at his residence in Iyara after voting and supervision of elections in the area described the use of technology as pivot to credible polls.
According to him, the elections was free and fair and conducted in Kogi West under the most favourable atmosphere devoid of inducement and harassment of eligible voters.
On Diaspora voting, the Senator called for the strengthening of the Nation’s network system to accommodate seemingly lapses to make it seamless after due legislation for people outside the country to participate actively in the electoral process.
Senator Adeyemi said the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu will reposition Nigeria for good governance and inclusiveness of all for national development.
On the clamour for power shift to Kogi West in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election later in the year, the Senator said the call is predicated on the spirit of fairness, Justice and equity.
The third time Senator in the National Assembly said he intends to contest for the governorship seat of the State in view of his experience, commitment to the delivery of good governance and connections within and without the country to being about the needed development in the State if elected.

He urged Governor Yahaya Bello to listen to the voice of the people calling for the power to shift to Kogi West in the spirit of fairness and justice.
