2022 Budget: Kogi State Set for Infrastructural Devt- Says University Don, sue for Public/Private Partnership.

The 2022 Budget of Accelerated Results as signed into law by Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will put the State on Infrastructural development.

A University Don and former Director-General, College of Accountancy Jos, Doctor Joseph Femi Adebisi sated this in his analysis of the budget in Lokoja.

Doctor Adebisi said the budget as package is a balanced one and if properly executed would fully bring to bear the more development in all sectors of the State economy.

According to him, the Governor is poised to take the State out of the woods in terms of infrastructural development as being currently witnessed all over the State for a lasting legacy of his administration.

He called on Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, to rise up to the challenge of ensuring proper execution of the budget as well as the need for prompt release of funds.

Doctor Adebisi equally urged the office of the State Head of Service to equally organize training and retraining for civil servants to enable them meet up with modern techniques and challenges of budget execution and to help rejig the service for optimum performance.

The University Don also called on the State Government to partner with the private sector towards addressing the rate of unemployment and gets the youths meaningful engaged in skills that would enhance the act of governance in the State.

He commended the robust security architecture put in place by the Governor to combat insecurity across the State in view of the enormous challenge of being surrounded by over five States and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
