The Gubernatorial Candidate for the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Dr. Sam Omale in the forthcoming election in Kogi State has promised to turn the abundant mineral resources available in the State into profitable ventures for the masses.

Doctor Omale disclosed this in Lokoja at a programme by the Organised Labour for Trade Unions, Workers’ Associations, Civil Society and Non Governmental Organizations.

The YPP Gubernatorial Candidate who outlined a five point agenda if elected to transform Kogi State said the State is blessed with sufficient mineral resources to remain impoverished.

According to him, his agenda include; securing the State to make it safe for Investors, develop the agricultural sector for food production for consumption as well as for export, infrastructural development, develop human capacity and entrenching good governance by tackling corruption.

He said his joining the Gubernatorial race was borne out of passion to redefine politics, solve the challenge of infrastructural decadence over the years and not out of tribal or ethnic sentiment.

The YPP Gubernatorial Candidate called on eligible voters to resist the temptation of selling thier votes for a peanut but rather vote according to thier conscience and the need for a better change and great tomorrow for which the Party stands for.
