The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Elder Leke Abejide has been described as a politician with a difference.

Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh stated this after receiving a 20kva Mikano Generator donated to the State Council in Lokoja by Elder Abejide.

Comrade Momohjimoh who appreciated the Lawmaker for redeeming his earlier pledge said the Council is proud to be associated with such a personality whose impact is felt beyond his immediate Constituency.

The Chairman called other politicians from the State to emulate the sterling qualities inherent in Elder Leke Abejide by making meaningful impact on the people they represent.

Speaking earlier, the Lawmaker who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Shola Adegbola Samuel said the donation was in fulfilment of his promise to the State Council during his visit five months ago.

He described the journalism profession as key in promoting good governance and assured if his continued collaboration at all times.

Elder Abejide who said that he would continue to ensure effective and productive representation of his Constituency expressed appreciation to the State Council of NUJ as well for being responsive in thier reportage.
