The rulling All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for continued support for the incoming administration of President-elect, Senator Ahmed Tinubu to ensure a smooth and peaceful tenure.

APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu made the call during a visit by the Pro-democracy and Anti Sabotage group known as the NATIVES at the National Secretariat in Abuja.

Senator Adamu, who commended the group for their support towards the success and eventual emergence of the President-elect, noted that the victory was made possible through thieir concerted efforts

He urged the group to sustain the support to ensure a smooth administration of the President-elect who will be sworn in on the twenty-ninth of May for more dividends of democracy

He prayed God to grant President Muhammadu Buhari a peaceful exit for his creating an enabling environment that led to the victory

“Our loyalty to him should not be extinguished on May 29th. We voted for him. We supported him. Everyone of us should be more anxious to ensure that Bola Ahmed Tinubu succeeds as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He will take off by the 29th of May by the grace of God”.

Also Speaking, the Supreme Leader of the NATIVES, Olalekan Edwards, said the purpose of their visit was to reaffirm their confidence in the party’s choice of Senator Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as President and Vice President-elect.

While commending the National Chairman on his role in harmonizing members to achieve success, he called for sustenance of unity and cohesion, urging the party to engage the right hands in the new administration for a better Nigeria.

“We read the manifestoes clearly, it was even translated into languages, we saw a workable future, we looked at his background and we saw he had the formula. We saw a tremendous difference in his leadership language, he has been consistent and his projects are sustainable, so we repose so much confidence in him and his ability to turn the fortunes of our various tribes and communities around”

”Above all, as a Party, please learn from the lessons of internal wrangling, Party Rewards, Positive Determination, engagement of the right hands, celebrate and reward the unparalleled role of Youths ,Women and Disabled of all tribes, be fair to all as we look forward to an industrialized and prosperous Nigeria” .
