
As Muslims the world over celebrate this year’s Eidel- Kabir, the Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Andas Malik has enjoined them to be exemplary in their conducts and live in consonance with the teaching of Islam.
Alhaji Andas made the call in his sallah message to all Muslims privileged to witness this year’s occasion.
He said the festival of eid-kabir brings to remembrance the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to offer his son in obedience to Allah’s command, hence the need for all Muslim faithfuls to follow in his step.
Alhaji Andas who explained the significance of the occasion, said the action of Prophet Ibrahim was that of total submission to Allah who never argued when instructed to do the sacrifice, an exemplary conduct all Muslims he noted, are expected to imbibe.
According to him, all Muslims who could get the means to purchase a ram for sacrifice are enjoined to to do so extending love to the less privilege and destitute in this season to attracts Allah’s blessings.
He also urged them not to be carried away by the festival but make efforts to reach out to neighbours especially those who cannot afford the means at this period.
”Let us use this occasion to embrace what could promote unity and peace among ourselves and the progress of the country.
Let’s tolerate, love, show brotherly kindness to our fellow humans thereby strengthening one another in this trying period of our Nation and let us deemphasize on matters that could disintegrate and set us back.
Hon. Andas called on Muslims to build bridges with the people of other faith and work together for the good of Nigeria as the Nation needs the collective inputs of well meaning citizens to attain its Allah given potentials.
He, on behalf of Members, Management and Staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission felicitated with Governor Yahaya Bello, the GYB family , Members of the State House of Assembly on this year’s Eidel- Kabir celebration and prayed Allah to continue to guide the Country’s Leaders right for the progress and prosperity of the Nigeria.
