The body of late wife of the state NUJ Chairman, Mrs Zainab Adeiza has been laid to rest at the Anguwan Kura burial ground.

In a prayer during the burial, Chief Ladan of Lokoja, Muhammad Musa prayed Allah to forgive the deceased and grant her mercy.

Also, Mallam Abdulfatah Bello admonished the people to leave a good legacy behind as he described the late Mrs Zainab as a humble and righteous wife.

Earlier before leading the funeral rites at the Lokoja Central Masjid, Chief Imam of Lokoja, Alhaji Aminu Sha’aban called on Muslims to lead virtous life as death was inevitable.

According to him, no matter the status or wellbeing of an individual, every soul shall taste death but that what is important is the righteous deeds that had been recorded in their favour.

The Chief Imam reminded the congregation to desist from all forms of transgression against people and worship Allah sincerely.

Those who spoke about the deceased described her as a pillar, a mother indeed, a wife and partner in progress to the husband.

Among dignitaries who attended the funeral are the former Clerk of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Isah Amoka, the General Manager, NTA Lokoja, Alhaji Yahaya Adams, Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corp, Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe, MD, Graphics Newspaper, Hon Kolade aka Otunba, former State Council Chairman NUJ, Alhaji Ali Atabo, Former VPs Zone D of the Union, Mr Tim’s Ejiga and Matthias Omale and members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm and host of others within and outside Kogi State.

Meanwhile the three days prayer for repose of the soul of deceased comes up on Sunday by 9am at the residence of the deceased.
