Lagos State Govt To Review Salaries Of Civil Servants.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced an upward review of workers’ salaries in Lagos state civil service.

Addressing thousands of workers at the State Secretariat Alausa Ikeja during a working visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu explained that the measure was necessitated by the prevailing economic situation in the country.

Governor Sanwo-Olu thanked the Civil servants for the support they have shown his administration since assumption of office, he also approved a twenty-five percent increase in the duty allowance of core establishments, prompt payment of pensions and revealed that before the end of this month, the first set of one hundred personal vehicles for those in the Directorate cadre would be delivered among other things.

Earlier, the Head of Service of the state Hakeem Muri-Okunola noted that this would be the Governor’s second working visit to the Secretariat as eighty percent of the promises the governor made to the civil servants is been fulfilled.

The Governor was accompanied by some members of his cabinet while ongoing projects were inspected.
