Kogi State Government says it has uncovered plots by Dangote Group to misinform the public about the truth of the State’s legally supported equity of Obajana Cement Company.

Are statement by State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo said it also uncovered clandestine meeting and plans by Dangote Group to cause chaos across Kogi State as a fight back strategy against the Government.

According to the statement, the secret meeting also deliberated on how to use the DSS and other Security Agencies to arrest and threaten top Government officials on frivolous charges including the media and EFCC to suppress the truth about Dangote’s illegal acquisition of Obajana Cement Company and all it’s atrocities over the years subjecting Kogi State and it’s people to pains, agony, penury and underdevelopment of the host communities.

Some of the resolutions include: ” Obliteration of the Agreement between the Kogi State Government and the Dangote Group., A plan to use the press to attack the Governor and Government of Kogi State., Plan to call the EFCC and DSS to claim that those who sealed the company on the orders of the State House of Assembly stole the sum of N207m in order to effect arrest. Also resolved to cause a blockade across the State highways using Dangote trucks to make it impossible even for the Governor to move out of the State Capital, stressing that Dangote owns Nigeria and that nothing anyone can do to stop him” among others the statement stressed.

It warned Dangote Group to be mindful of his actions as the State will release the visuals and audio recordings of the said meeting involving top Management Staff of Dangote Group for the world to see The mindset and modus operandi of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and his conglomerate.

The Statement assured the people of the State of Government readiness to defend thier rights to movement and safety as well as take every legal means to resist the act of cowardice of Dangote Group to harass, intimidate or cause harm to the people of the State for demanding thier rights.

” Let it be clear to all that the Government and people of Kogi State are united against economic oppression under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello. Our resolve to right the wrongs of the past is bigger than those who think they own Nigeria and can get away with anything they do”. The statement equally stressed.

It called on all Security Agencies to be on red alert to prevent the breakdown of law and order as the agitation of the State to reclaim it’s equity at Obajana Cement is non violent as it has all it takes to win the battle.
