Kogi State Government Approves Free Viewing Center For AFCON Final Match Btwn Nigeria & Ivory Coast

Kogi State Government has approved the Nigeria Union Union of Journalists, NUJ, Press Center Lokoja as free viewing center for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Final match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Ivory Coast tomorrow beginning at nine o.clock in the evening.

A statement by the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Monday A. Anyebe said the earlier proposed venue for the event which was the GYB Model Secondary school Adankolo- Lokoja has been changed for logistics reasons.

According to the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry ,Mr.James Sani, the Commissioner said the gesture by the Kogi State gtovernment which has been approved by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is to allow the public to view the final match without hitches.

The Statement advised members of the State Executive Council and Other political appointees to take advantage of the opportunity to watch the match with sports enthusiasts in the state.

The statement said adequate security has been provided for the venue to ensure a conducive atmosphere devoid of disturbances and advised viewers to conduct themselves in a matured manner.
