Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Akeem Yusuf psc (+), fdc, has ordered for a water tight security across the State for a peaceful Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations.

According to a statement by the State Force PPRO, SP William Ovye Aya, the CP gave the order during the monthly Conference with senior Officers, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Tactical and operational Commanders in the State.

He charged the Officers to beef up security ahead of the celebration to prevent any untoward situation in their Area of Responsibilities (AOR) through out the period and beyond.

He further tasked all Divisional Police Officers to put in measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebrations.

He equally directed them to deploy other operational assets to carry out confidence building and crime prevention patrol on major highways, residential and vulnerable points, places of worship and other places of interest.

The CP while congratulating the Muslim Faithfuls in the State on the occasion of 2023 Eid-El Kabir celebration, reiterated the Command’s level of preparedness and commitment to working in synergy with other Security services in ensuring adequate security of lives and property and denying space for criminal elements to thrive in and around the State.

To this end, the Commissioner of Police enjoined the good people of Kogi State to remain security conscious through out the period, while calling for the cooperation od all law abiding citizens to curtail any act of criminality in the State.
