Kogi State Comptroller of Correctional Service, Igbago David has condole with State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, John Kayode Oyinloye over the death of Inspector Iliya Ibrahim Achukeu, a personnel of the Corps who died at the Kuje prison incident.

Comptroller David said the visit was also to convey the Comptroller General message of condolence as well to the Corps.

According to him, the visit became necessary due to the existing synergy between the two agencies who belongs to the same parent body.

The NSCDC Commandant, John Kayode Oyinloye who appreciated the State Comptroller for the condolence visit seek for a minute silence for the deceased, describing him as a gallant officer who died in active service.

He prayed that God should grant him eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

It would be recalled that the NSCDC personnel died on active duty during the recent attack on Kuje Correctional facility.
