Kogi PASAN Inaugurates New Exco…. Improve Upon The Achievements Of Your Precedecessor- NLC Chair.

The newly inaugurated Executive members of the State Chapter of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN, have been charged to improve upon the achievements of their predecessor.

State Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Gabriel Amari gave the charge in his good will message at the inauguration of the new executive of PASAN in Lokoja.

Comrade Amari urged them to see leadership position as a call to service and those saddles with the responsibility must be determined and focused if they must achieve meaningful result for those who elected them into office

On the issue of the Staff minimum wage yet to be paid, the NLC Chairman assured that efforts were being made to get the new structure for the new wage and appealed to them to be patient and refuse to be confrontational in thier approach.

He congratulated the new Exco for emerging victorious at the election.

The Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Head of Legislative Service, Alhaji Sule Ahmed Chogudo promised the Management’s collaboration with the new Union Leaders to enhance their welfare and commended them for their peaceful disposition towards the election.

Also, the State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, Comrade Sule Ahmed Tijani represented by the Vice Chairman, Comrade Samuel Obajemu called for cooperation among members of the Union and their leaders, stressing that achieveing a tangible result in their four years of service requires collective efforts and wished them a successful tenure.

The Head of Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi in his good will message to the occasion said leadership is core service to humankind and an opportunity to improve on the lives of the people, pointing out that taking up of leadership roles was not to fill number but to impact lives and wished the Executive a memorable period of service.

In his post election speech, the Chairman, Comrade Ayo Omatala promised to give workers welfare top most priority through effective representation, ensuring justice, fairness and dignity.

He called for unity to build a strong Union that all Members of the Association would be proud of.

The National Auditor of PASAN, Comrade Mohammed Bello in a remark told the new Executive to always allow the constitution of the Union be their guilding principle and work closely with the national office to position the State Chapter for more recognition.

The immediate past state Chairman of PASAN, Comrade Ogaza Salisu thanked Almighty God for His benevolence and enabling grace to serve and wished the new team a successful tenure.
