Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has called for coll collective efforts by workers and the State government in the new year to achieve set goals.

Chairman of the Council, Comrade Gabriel Amari made the call in his new year message to workers in the State.

Comrade Amari said the call became imperative in view of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo led administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers in the outgone year.

According to him, the Governor has shown unvawering commitment and disposition to issues affecting Civil servants with a view of tacking them to workers a new lease of life as well as pensioners.

The NLC Boss who said the organised labour in the State is constant collaboration with the Government to address other issues in the new year, restated Labour’s resolve to support the present administration to succeed.

” The Organised Labour will support the policies and programmes of Governor Ododo’s led administration which are workers friendly, goal oriented and cost effective”.

He said infrastructure wise, the Government is doing a great and commendable job and urged it to sustain the tempo.

The Labour leader also expressed appreciation to the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka for standing in between Government and workers to reach amicable solutions at all times which has greatly improved their well being.

” Our great appreciation to a leader of leaders and Comrade of Comrades, Onuh Edoka for being there always for us. More grace, wisdom and strength upon him. We salute your courage Sir”.
