
Stakeholders of the Handball Association in Kogi State have resolved their differences and agreed to work collectively for the growth of the Association.
This was contained in the resolution reached at a meeting in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development chaired by the Commissioner Hon Monday A Anyebe, the management staff of the Ministry and Stakeholders of the Handball Association in Lokoja.

Hon Monday A Anyebe called on the members of the Handball Association stakeholders to see themselves as one big family by working together towards the progress and development of the Handball game in the state.
He said sports is a catalyst for unity and development in the society hence the need for those agrieved to drop their differences and come together by moving handball sports forward.
The Commissioner advised supporters of the incumbent state chairman Mr. Jibrin Orji Saidu and that of Mr. Mark Ogah Okpanachi to work as a team towards the progress and development of handball sports in the state.
Speaking, during the meeting Kogi state chairman of the Handball Association Mr. Jibrin Orji Saidu assured the Commissioner of his readiness to abide by the outcome of the meeting by working together with all stakeholders of the Handball Association in Kogi State.
He acknowledged the efforts of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe for his fatherly roles in the Sports sector especially the Handball game.
Mr. Saidu called on the members of the Handball Association to join hands with him to move the sector forward in the state and Nigeria at large.
Also speaking, Mr. Mark Ogah Okpanachi described the meeting as timely and restated his commitment and dedication to ensure continued peace, unity and progress of the Handball Association and the stakeholders in the state.
Mr. Okpanachi said he welcomed the resolution reached at the meeting to work together with the incumbent kogi State Chairman Mr. Jibrin Orji Saidu for the betterment of the Handball sports in the state.
He expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for his quality leadership in the Youth and Sports Development sector in the state and promised continued partnership to take the game to a greater height.
Present at the meeting to include the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mallam Jibo Haruna Muhammed, the Director Sports Council Mr. Onipe Obakachi, the Director Admin of the ministry Alhaji Ibraheems Yayaha and the Director Sports Development, Mr David Ogazuma.
