A New Assistant Inspector General, AIG, Of Police, Akeem Adeshina Yusuf (ps(+),fdc) has resumed office with a promise of repositioning the Zone for optimum output.

He is the 29th AIG of Zone 8, Police Zonal Headquarters comprising Kogi and Kwara States respectively.

AIG Yusuf charged the officers/men to brace up towards fulfilling IG Kayode Egbetokun’s mandate of a Nigeria Police that can compete favourably with others all over the world in the area of crime prevention and tackling insecurity.

He assured the officers/men also of the IG’s commitment to their welfare and provision of modern crime fighting equipment for maximum performance on the job.

The AIG however cautioned against indiscipline and act capable of tarnishing the image of the Nigeria Police Force.

A statement by the PPRO Zone 8 Hqtrs, Inspr Awi Ruth said the newly posted AIG has held several Commands , Positions and Carried out multiple tasks in his illustrious Career.
Until his recent elevation to the rank of AIG, he was the Commissioner of Police Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

AIG Akeem Adeshina Yusuf was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in the year 1990, trained in police Academy annex, Kaduna.
