Kogi State Government says it will continue to give priority attention to sports sector in the state.

The State Director, Sports Development in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Ogazuma David Baba stated this while reacting to the performances of the State Athletes so far at the ongoing National Youth Games in Asaba Delta State.

Mr. Ogazuma David Baba said so far the performances of the Athletes is encouraging, saying Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration has demonstrated total passion and unflinching support for sporting activities in the State.

According to him, the State Athletes have won five Bronze Medals at the ongoing National Youths Games here in Asaba Delta State with a renewed vigour for clinch more medals for the State.

The Director said the Ministry and it officials would continue to do their best to ensure the Athletes to come up with more victories at the ongoing National Youth Games.

He charged the Athletes not to be distracted with their performance so far stressing that they should work hander for more success.

He commended the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello’s commitment towards sporting activities in the state.

Mr. Ogazuma also espressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Idris Musa for his dedication and progressive minded support at the ongoing National Youth Games at Asaba discribing his efforts as impressive.

Mr. Ogazuma David Baba assured sports lovers in the state of more laurels at the ongoing National Youth Games and also called for more prayers for greater achievements back home.
