Kogi State office of the National Population Commission (NPC) is to inaugurate its twenty twenty-three census publicity committee on Thursday.

A statement by the Federal Commissioner of NPC in the State, Professor Habibat Isah-Jimoh noted that the inauguration will take place at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja, at ten o’clock in the morning.

According to the statement, the state Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja will be the Chairman of the committee while the NPC Federal Commissioner in the state, Professor Habibat Isah-Jimoh is the Co-Chairman.

It noted that the Commissioner of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, the Attah Igala, His Majesty Mathew Alaji Opaluwa the second, Chairman, House of Assembly Committee on Information, General Manager of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Lokoja, Director-General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation and Managing Director, The Graphics newspaper are also members of the committee.

Other members of the committee include the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Chairperson, National Council of Women Society (NCWS), Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Chairman, Kogi State Council of Ulamau and President National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE ).

The rest are Coordinator, Kogi State Chapter of the National Association of Nigeria students (NANS), Chairperson, Market Women Association, Federal Information Officer, the State Director, National Population Commission and the Head of Department, Public Affairs, National Population Commission in Kogi State who is to serve as secretary of the committee.

The statement enjoined all members to be punctual.
