Be Compassionate As We Mark This Year’s Eid-el Kabir – Andas Tells Muslims.

The Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Malik has identified selflessness and love for one another as panaceas to the numerous challenges confronting the Nation.

Alhaji Andas made the remark in a statement to mark this year’s Eid-kabir.

The Chairman explained that Eid el-Kabir being commemorated by Muslims the world over was as a result of Prophet Ibrahim ‘s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to God.

According to him, the period also calls for Muslims to reflect on faith in Allah, obedience, and the spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

The festival he noted, encourages Muslims to consider their own sacrifices and to practice compassion and generosity towards others without any form of bias.

While emphasising the need for good neighbourliness, the Commission Chairman maintained that the festival strengthens the bond between families and communities as the season was a time to come together, share meals, express love to one another and gratitude to Almighty Allah.

He used the occasion to call for prayers for the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo”s led administration to consolidate on the achievements being recorded to make Kogi State a pride of the Nation.

On behalf of himself, members and staff of the Commission, he felicitates with the Rt.,Hon Speaker, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, the Hon. Members of the House, Staff of the Commission/Assembly and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of the Eidel- Kabir, wishing every one happy Eid-el Mubarak.
