
Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has promised continued partnership with the State Judiciary.
Governor Bello gave the assurance at the opening ceremony of the National Sports Association for Judiciary, NASAJ, Competition at the Lokoja Stadium.

Represented by his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja, Governor Bello said his administration is committed to sports development and willing to collaborate with the judiciary for a successful hosting of the game.
He described the judiciary as the last hope of Nigerians and urged them to preserve the collective unity of the country in the course of discharging their constitutional duties.

To the athletes, the Governor assured of a secured and friendly environment requesting them to take time out to visit tourist sites in the State Capital.
According to him, engaging in sport activities gives one a sound body and mind needed for all round development stressing the need for participants to abide by the rules of the game.
In a remark, NASAJ National President, Mr. Emeka Ndidi expressed appreciation to the State Government for accepting to host the competition despite short notice describing the Governor as Sport friendly.
He called for continued synergy with the judiciary to achieve set goals.
Highlights of the occasion was the official declaration of the competition open by the Deputy Governor, match past as well as a football match between Supreme Court, Abuja and Kogi State Judiciary Team which ended in two goals against Kogi State Judiciary Team.
