Women in the State Broadcasting Corporation have been charged to continue to work as a team for the progress of the organization.

Director-General of the media organization, Alhaji Ojo-Oyila Ozovehe gave the charge in a message to the get together of the Women in Radio Association in Lokoja.

Represented by the Corporation Secretary, Mr. Sylvester Atabor, Alhaji Ojo-Oyila noted that with unity of purpose, much can be achieved.

He urged the women to sustain the unity existing among them for their progress and development of the Corporation.

While assuring of the support of management to the body, the DG advised the leadership to work towards developing into a corporate body that can attract greater benefits for members.
“I want you to go beyond this to raising an NGO, a corporate body where you can benefit more than what you earn in the office; if only you believe. Women in Radio Kogi can become a big organization that can go international. It is possible if only you believe “.

In their words of advise to members of the Association, the matron’s, Mrs Abimbola Ekundayo and Princess Nana-Hauwa Yusuf, urged the women to continue to be united and be their sister’s keeper, and avoid negative attitude like gossiping and fighting.

They stressed the need to work in the spirit of togetherness and promote unity peace and love for the overall progress of the Corporation.

Earlier in a welcome address, the Chairperson of the Association, Comrade Memuna Egli, said the programme, which is the first since the current executive assumed office, was organized to thank God for seeing a new year.

Comrade Memuna commended the entire women in the organization for their support and expressed gratitude to the management for giving them a conducive atmosphere to carry out their official duties .

She prayed God to bless and protect all the women and to uplift the Corporation.
