Kogi State Government says it will continue to accord priority to the Sports sector towards enhancing the spirit of togetherness and healthy living in the state.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Monday A Anyebe stated this while receiving members of the Handball stakeholders on a familiazation visit to his office in Lokoja.

Hon Monday Anyebe said the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will do everything possible to move sports to a greater height in the state.

According to him the Governor is making available all that’s required to reposition the sector for optimum performance.

He called on members of the handball stakeholders in the state to continue to promote the activities of the handball sport in the state.

The Commissioner assured them of his readiness to uplifting all sporting activities in the state saying all stakeholders in the sports Sector will be carried along in the scheme of sports development in Kogi state.

Hon Anyebe thanked the Handball association in the state for their visit and reiterates his Commitment to sustain partnership for a greater goal.

In his remarks, His Royal Highness Oba Luke Oludoyi from Isanlu who is one of the handball stakeholders appealed to the Commissioner to give them necessary support in making handball sporting activities in the state a laudable one for the overall growth and progress of the State.

Also present during the visit includes the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Sports, Mr Jibo Haruna Muhammed, the Director kogi State sports council Mr Onipe obakachi and other Directors of the Ministry.
